That Movie Connection.

When one mentions "communication", the first thing that usually comes to mind is radios, telephone conversations, emails, T.V. advertisements, books or even comsats. What some fail to realize is that good movies communicate too.

I have to admit that I've been a movie hound as of late, taking a (now normal) detour to that pirate DVD haunt after a fairly-early yumcha session before I head home. Movies like City of God, The Color of Freedom, American History X, Fight Club, American Gangster and many more all have one thing in common: the ability to tell us a good story. But movies stories are nothing like the stories in books.

Here's one of the recent movies that i've watch. Beautiful "ol'skewl" movie. The film tells us a story of a perfect violin known as "The Red Violin" for its rich red in colour. The movie spans three centuries and five countries as it tells of the life of the violin and its many owners. Quotes about the movie include, "Mesmerizing" by NBC and "Remarkable" by Associated Press. I say, the movie poster might not look like much, but your 10 ringgit would go a looong way. ;)

I'm sure you've heard a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, a film is classified as a picture and on average, it's normally 2 hours long. In conclusion, that's a whole lot of words.
